Sweet Controversy

I saw on the Daily Telegraph website earlier that Sadie Frost's daughter Iris caused 'controversy' at LFW by wearing a dress covered in love hearts which upon closer inspection said some apparently dodgy/ inappropriate things for a 14 year old, such as 'drop dead' and 'please drown'. I personally don't think her age makes any difference in this case; by the age 14 i'm certain I had heard much worse than anything written on that dress! Sadie Frost said the dress was a present, and I think it's a great individual piece- sweet but still packs a punch when you look properly. Unfortunately I can't say I like the rest of her outfit much, especially those white lace tights, but kudos for the dress anyway!

Christopher Kane is still good as gold...or purple leopard print

As per usual I adored the Christopher Kane show; he seems to be the one designer I can never get enough of! With this collection he said he wanted to go more grungy, and he certainly achieved that whilst also managing to include some weird 90's looking elements such as that lilac and purple leopard print!? I especially like that 'last' outfit (I uploaded these in reverse order accidentally, it was earlier on in the show) with the loose leather bow around the skirt- a DIY opportunity if ever I saw one!

Topshop Unique A/W '12

Wow! I was completely blown away by the Topshop Unique collection, don't get me wrong they are always good but generally you can tell that it's a high street store. Whereas this season with Kate Phelan as creative director for the first time, I thought it was stunning. Literally every look was beautiful, and I have already created a mental shopping list of things to look out for in shops and charity shops. Watch it for yourself here: http://live.topshop.com/aw2012/webtv/uk/

London Calling

As you may have noticed I haven't posted for ages, so I decided to re-style my blog and start over (though still leaving my older posts). I can't promise how often i'll post, but it depends on how interesting my life is/becomes.
Yesterday I went to London with my brother to do research for my art exam project 'The Natural Environment', mainly drawing and photographing different environments. Unfortunately our train was delayed and took 3 hours instead of just over 1, but I had this delicious chocolate cream wafer to eat which I bought from the oriental supermarket the previous day. We also had waffles from this stall along Oxford Street which were tasty but waaaay too filling, and expensive!
